Do you remember many months ago, when then-Assembly Member Peter Fortune uncovered documents regarding “Project Detroit” – Sadiq Khan’s plans to charge motorists up to £2 for every mile they drove? Investigative journalism by LondonCentric would later uncover more details about just how much work had been done on the scheme.

Neil Garratt AM recently questioned Sadiq Khan about his Net Zero 2030 Plan, which he committed to in his 2024 Manifesto. That plan argued that in order to reduce traffic by Sadiq Khan’s target of 27%, the only option is to introduce a Pay-Per-Mile Scheme.

Given Sadiq Khan’s broken promises on ULEZ & the Green Belt, is this evidence that Pay-Per-Mile is still on Sadiq Khan’s agenda?
